The Idealist

He is but a dreamer,
A wondrous soul,
Whose zephyr travels placidly
Amid the clamor and haste!

In a scorching field of weeds and roses
He escorts the world through rose-coloured lenses,
Enabling him to wane his psyche
Away from the infinite glory of truthful wits;
He desires only to seek his heart’s content –
A possessor of sweet oblivion,
He feels safest only in the realm of imagination

He is but a dreamer,
A wondrous soul,
Whose zephyr travels placidly
Amid the clamor and haste!

Forever and ever his spirit wanders;
Shadowing the earth with his grace and bondage
Seeking only that which is non-existent,
Except in fictitious tales,
Of ambrosial boons,
And artistic wonders

He is but a dreamer,
A wondrous soul,
Whose zephyr travels placidly
Amid the clamor and haste!

His mind’s rigid frailty
Is merged and lost,
Amid these tales of pretense and make-believe;
His arduous lust for eternal rapture
Compels him to a life of feeble fails
As the waves of materialism and superficiality blinds him,
Of which the beams of both are blent,
Freed from the burning flames of reality…

He is but a dreamer,
A wondrous soul,
Whose zephyr travels placidly
Amid the clamor and haste!

Oh, what is to become of this sweet Idealist?
Whose naivety rolls like a whirling thunder!
Leaving the world breathless, inglorious
With eyes ablaze like piquant wildfire
In a hot field where deception dwells,
Crowning only the strong-willed,
While scorning the farsighted

He is but a dreamer,
A wondrous soul,
Whose zephyr travels placidly
Amid the clamor and haste!
