The Phoenix

Like a flaming Phoenix
She rises out of the dark ashes
Unveiling herself in a dimly lit terrain
Along the shadowy shores of night

Her valiant nature creates a ruckus
Among lay folks that aim to destroy her
Castigated for a crime she didn’t commit
She maintains her aura of invincibility
Which threatens those,
Who desire to render her lifeless
But her spirit refuses to wane
For it has been emancipated
From the clutches of her wicked foes

Like a flaming Phoenix
She rises out of the dark ashes
Spreading her golden ailerons
Along the glittering skies of Pashtunkhwa

Her disposition continues to stagger
Wretched souls that have lividly cursed her
To eternal damnation!
Gruesome men with beards and turbans
Aim their artillery at her distillation
In hopes to shatter her powerful anima
Alas! Against all odds, she presses on,
For not a moment does her courage wither
Amid the wilderness of stars that continue to flare

Like a flaming Phoenix
She rises out of the dark ashes
Fluttering upon dreams unnamed,
And landing upon hope’s arrested flight

Serene, yet indestructible
Her immortality continues to feed
Their shameful turbulence of odium
It continues to mount,
With every breath she takes,
Destroying everything in sight
Except her fervent epitome
Yes, eternal she be, indeed
Just like a burning ember –
An ember from the sun
