Yes, my dearest readers! My jaan, my baby, my beloved, Heela Foundation, finally has a new official logo! And it is absolutely beautiful! I just love how simple it is, and how perfectly it captures the true essence of Heela Foundation. (Heela in the Pashto language means “hope.”) [See logo below.]
Anyway, we now have a new graphic designer on our team, and so far he’s been really great! Not only is he truly talented, but he, too, has the same passion for humanitarian work. We are currently working on the official website, and we hope to launch that as soon as this spring; if not, then definitely by the summer time.
In the mean time, if you have or use Facebook, join our page (or “like it” I guess), and spread the word! The link can be accessed here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Heela-Foundation/193246394084363
As you may very well have noticed, the page is empty at the moment, but I’ll be done my semester in a few weeks, so come April, I’ll start populating it and putting up pictures of the sponsored children, their progress reports, and the like.
We will also create a link titled “donate,” directly on the Facebook page, as well on the website itself, for those who would like to send donations. Whether it’s only $2 or a $100, it really doesn’t matter, because every single penny counts.
Below are some samples of our new (very beautiful, I must add) logo, and wall-paper. I’m so excited to rejuvenate Heela Foundation — a dream — that I started with my dear friend, Mariya Zarbakhtha Yousafzai, a few years ago. And now our dream is not only limited to sponsoring children, but also helping women (Pashtun women, in particular). We are currently in talks with the Pashtun Organization for Women (POW), as well, for I’m sure the joint venture will do wonders for our Pashtuns! Stay tuned as more details become available!
